In this calculation we give an example of how the solar collector area is altered, so that there is no resultant heating requirement. The volume of the container is 150m3 and the solar collector area is 35m2.

There is no change in the heating of the building, so it goes without saying that the solar collectors are placed in such a way that they do not interfere with the passive solar irradiation through the windows, because this would displace the balance of heating.

The temperature in the container will (nearly) always be more than 45ºC, so there will never be any need for a supplement.
